A Workshop for Tired Women Seeking Some Peace
hustle culture was never made for women like us.
We’ve got brains that work in patterns and soundtracks, hearts that feel the world deeply, and nervous systems that can’t take one more productivity podcast telling us to "just wake up earlier."
It’s time to stop listening to the shoulds.
It's time to set the pace for our own lives.
In this online workshop,
I will help you to:
Understand Your Nervous System: Learn how your mind affects your stress responses.
Identify Personal Triggers: Discover cues that signal when you're nearing burnout.
Learn Practical Tools: Gain techniques to create space and calm amidst chaos.
Set a Sustainable Pace: Learn to structure your day in a way that honors your energy levels.
"Each moment is a chance
for us to make peace
with the world,
to make peace possible
for the world.
The world needs our happiness."

Sunday, May 4th, at 11 am, Pacific time. (Shout out to the Star Wars nerds who get that date.)
We'll talk and learn together for 90 minutes, live.
I will send you a recording of the workshop. If you cannot be there at that time, you can watch the workshop at your own pace.
I will send you a PDF with the facts, tools, and practices I shared during the workshop.
Hello there! I am your guide
Shauna James Ahern
I'm a storyteller. It's stories that make us human.
I have written and published 5 books, including a James-Beard-award-winning cookbook, Gluten-Free Girl Everyday, and a memoir in essays, ENOUGH: Notes from a Woman Who Has Finally Found It. You might be one of the thousands of women who loved both of these books.
My work has appeared in The Washington Post, The Food Network, The New York Times, Brené Brown, the Guardian, Newsweek, and The London Times.
I've been a teacher for 30 years and a mindfulness practitioner for 25 years.
But the richest source of the wisdom I want to share with you has been my fulfilling and sometimes difficult lived experience — including being diagnosed with ADHD at 55 and being the tired mama of 2 incredible and complex kids .
This hard-won wisdom has given me a wealth of knowledge and practical experience that I'd like to share with you.
I have skills to teach you.
I would love to help you learn to live at your own pace and find some peace.
Let’s gather.
Let’s unlearn the hustle.
Let’s remember who we are.
Join us in a supportive space where tired women come together to unlearn the hustle and embrace a life paced with compassion.
You're not alone.
You deserve rest.
