Ladies, your stories matter.
Write down the glimmers of your life,
15 minutes a day.
Who are you?
You’re deeply curious, creative, and kind.
You love stories and words. You’re an avid reader. And you’ve tried journaling or morning pages, but you had a hard time keeping up the habit. It never felt quite like you.
I created this workshop for you.
You’ve had a difficult time following typical paths because doing something without understanding why makes you anxious. Your mind needs to discover and understand.
You’ve either in perimenopause, waiting for the day you can say you've hit menopause, or post-menopausal. (So, GenX, generally, although you don't really love labels.)
You haven’t realized how extraordinary you are.
You don’t know that your stories matter.
Yet.
You deserve this workshop.

I'm Shauna James Ahern.
I’m a 5-books-published writer, James-Beard award-winning author, and a deeply experienced writing teacher.
I've been writing stories as long as I could hold a pen. I keep my eyes open for glimmers of joy. And every day I move my pen forward, capturing the beautiful mess of life.
I guide women who feel not good enough in their lives to create a daily mindful writing habit, so they can make friends with their minds and embrace who they truly are.
The details of your life matter. You matter.
I would love to guide you to mindful writing and feel at ease in your life, every day.
Most of us women have been taught that our stories don't matter.
We need to remain silent to fit in.
Our voices have been muted.
The details of your life matter. You are all of the things you have ever experienced, not only the highlight reel.
Waiting for “someday” to feel grounded means missing the glimmers —
the small joys tucked inside an early-morning cup of coffee, the way sunlight filters through the curtains, or the sound of your child’s laughter.
The present moment — imperfect, messy, and full of life — is where we live.
Don’t stay stuck. Start using your voice to share your stories.
Start writing your stories.
You don’t want to miss out on this workshop, which only costs $47.
What's going to happen during this workshop?
We'll start with music and introductions.
I'll tell you my story about mindful writing and how it has enriched my life.
Before we begin writing, I'll allay your fears about being good enough to do this.
You do not have to be good.
I'll teach you my mindful writing technique. And then we'll writing our stories, together, for 15 minutes.
Anyone brave enough can read her piece and we'll share our love for what we noticed.
Before we go, I'll share some quotes and inspiration for you. And I'll send you home with the fervor to start writing your stories.
You will benefit from writing your stories.
You will learn to embrace life, as it is.
Tired of waiting for "someday"? Mindful writing helps you see the beauty in the life you're living right now. By reflecting on your daily experiences, you’ll stop chasing perfection and start appreciating the present moment.
You'll find clarity and calm.
Feeling overwhelmed? Through daily writing, you’ll clear the mental clutter and make space for calm. This practice helps you slow down and reconnect with the present moment.
You'll be taking care of yourself.
Writing can be more than just words on a page. It’s a way to nourish yourself—daily. When you build this mindful habit, you’ll feel more grounded, centered, and connected to your own story.
You'll start to believe in the strength of your voice.
Life isn’t perfect, but your unique perspective matters. Writing your real-life details will help you rediscover joy in the small, everyday moments and show you that your story is worth telling.
"That prompt that Shauna sent was the answer to the stress of my week. I thought I wanted to write about one event but the image was of another. I wrote and I drew. I didn’t realize how badly I needed to get everything out of my head. Every word let me relax and when the time went off, my exhale was slow and steady and all the tension was gone. Thank you."

But I’m not a writer, you may be saying.
Maybe you’ve tried keeping a journal before, but it sputtered out after a few pages. You’re drawn to language and stories, but never thought you were “good enough” to write your own.
What you don’t know —yet— is that you’re listening to the echoes of red pens and harsh critiques from high school English teachers. Those voices have lingered far too long.
Here’s the truth: You don’t need to be a “good writer” to make sense of your life. You only need a pen, a notebook, and a willingness to show up as you are.
You have stories. Your stories matter.
But hurry! THE WORKSHOP IS HAPPENING IN…
